This work consists of Lenten sermons addressing the “decline of Christianity” and was authored by a Carmelite friar. An excellent example of an 18th-century ecclesiastical/antiquarian volume with attractive shelf presence.

This listing is for a vellum-bound copy of M. Val. Martialis Epigrammata, edited by Juvencius and printed by Pezzana in Venice, 1752. The volume is in good condition, with a tight binding and clean internal pages. There are some pencil marks on the front flyleaf, inside back cover, and title page (as shown in photo).
