THE PRINTED BOOK Its History Illustration and Adornment from the days of Gutenberg to the present time by Henri Bouchot translated and enlarged by Edward C Bigmore was published 1887 in London by H Grevel & Co measuring 8″ x 5 1/2″ with 312 pages, 118 illustrations of facsimiles of early typography, printer’s marks, copies of book illustrations and specimens of bindings of all ages, top page edge gilt, and index. Front endpaper has the book label of author, type print and graphic designer Eugene M Ettenberg. Binding worn at extremities, cloth worn through at tips; short split to top inside hinge paper; one page chipped at upper outside corner; otherwise solid and clean. Thank you.
