The Iliad of Homer, Easton Press, Collector’s Edition, 1979
This is the Iliad in Alexander Pope’s translation. From the Easton Press website It is pathetic and tragic like few things in literature, and Pope is up to it. The winged oomph of Eros is limply wanting.
