In good condition, with minor rubbing and wear to boards and spine, primarily along edges and corners. Hinges remain in good condition and text block remains bound well. Nicely illustrated with dozens of black-and-white sketches, along with several full-page illustrations. Some foxing to fore edges of pages. A scarce piece from the original French works of prose author and satirist Francois Rabelais (between 1483 and 1494 to 1553).
