Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer, published by George Routledge & Sons sometime between 1866-1881. The book is illustrated by Edward H. Corbould. This hardcover, with boards wrapped in blue cloth with gold gilt enhancements, has some shelf wear and light staining, with rounded corners and concave text block. The binding is delicate and has hinge issues. There is foxing. There is a used bookstore pencil pricing on the inside. A previous owner’s name is stamped inside, and there is a vintage bookstore stamp as well.
