An Alphabestiary by John Ciardi Illustrated Adult Humor Alphabet Book Slip Case
An Alphabestiary by John Ciardi: Author’s Note. “Fables have always known that every animal is a moral waiting to be identified. Watch any animal: before long it will let you know something about mankind. It works the other way, too: watch any human being long enough and he will let you know something about which animal he might have been, given half a chance. The other facts about fables, of course, is the triumph of serendipity. They never really know which moral they are going to get to, but only that they will eventually get to one. Then, when it does come up, they think they knew it was there from the start.” Slip case has sun fading, scuffing damage, and an area under the label that has surface loss. The book itself is in very good condition. See photos for condition. If applicable, eBay will collect state sales tax. Shipped with a tracking number. Returns accepted within 30 days. Thank You for viewing.
