Antiquarian books on Freemasonry. This is not a matched set with respect to the covers, but the title pages are identical. Each was published by The Masonic History Company. Volume 2 (black cover) was printed in 1920, and Volume 1 (dark brown) in 1921. Each has either a stamp or embossment with the previous owner’s name. I prefer to sell as a set. V1: 1-455 pages; V2: 457-913 pages. Each has marbeled end pages, and gilt on page edges (V2 only has it on the top edges). Profusely illustrated. Each has a number of b&w illustrations on glossy pages. In very nice condition – 100 years old. ~~ SHIPPED in a medium flat rate box, in plastic for waterproofing. NEXT DAY SHIPPING M-F. CONDITION: Good – both books have light soiling & some scuffing; V1 has more scuffing on the edges and along spine. V1: Binding is tight. V2: hairline split at between cover and front end page, so it has some movement, wobble. Pages have light age toning. I did not see any tears or creases; there are some light corner impressions on V1. The pages are pretty clean, there may be finger smudges or soiling, but nothing large when I scanned the pages.
