Early French illustrated edition featuring an engraved frontispiece and numerous full-page mythological engravings. Bound in full calf with raised bands and gilt spine decoration. Includes the bookplate of William Tarun Behrenfeld. Tome I only. Binding is heavily worn, with rubbing, losses, weakened joints and spine-end damage. Pages show age toning, foxing, staining and occasional early markings. Sold as pictured
