This is an excellent, clean copy of a Victorian cookery book ‘The Practical Housewife Forming a Complete Encyclopaedia of Domestic Economy ‘. The wonderful book published as a 1st edition in 1855, was written by the Editor of The People’s Friend, Robert Kemp Philp. It is superbly illustrated wthroughout with diagrams of joints plus hints and tips to assist housewives.
